Santry Finds Fenway

June 9, 2005

BOSTON, MA - Amherst College senior co-captain third baseman Josh Santry (Allendale, NJ) was one of 13 players chosen by the New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) to represent the College Division (Division II/III) against the University Division (Division I) in the 30th-Annual New England College Baseball All-Star Game at Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox, on Sunday.

Santry played four innings and singled sharply to left field in his only official plate appearance as the College Division fell 7-2. He was a Second-Team All-New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) and Third-Team All-New England pick after batting a robust .345 with 31 RBIs and 21 runs scored, while leading the Jeffs to a 23-9-1 record and their second straight NESCAC Championship.
