Harmeling, Perry Earn NSCAA/adidas Men's & Women's All-America Honors
December 22 - Amherst placed two players - women’s soccer junior forward Ashley Harmeling and men’s soccer senior quad-captain Frank Perry - on respective 2003 Division III adidas men’s and women’s soccer All-America teams, as selected and announced by the NSCAA. Harmeling, a first-team All-America after earning NESCAC Player of the Year, First-Team All-NESCAC and First-Team All-New England honors, led the Jeffs to a 12-4-4 record and their second conference title in the last three years. Harmeling, Wojcik Earn NEWISA All-New England Honors
December 5 - After leading the Jeffs to a 12-4-4 record and their second NESCAC Championship in the last three years, Amherst junior forward Ashley Harmeling and sophomore defender Lyn Wojcik were named Division III All-New England by the New England Women’s Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA). Harmeling was a first-team pick while Wojcik earned second-team honors. Full Story

14th-Ranked Jeffs End Season with 3-2 Loss at Top-Ranked Wheaton in NCAA Regional Championship Game
November 16 - The Wheaton women’s soccer team captured its second consecutive New England championship Sunday afternoon, as the Lyons posted a thrilling 3-2 victory over Amherst at the NCAA Division III New England Regional Tournament held at Mirrione Stadium. Collecting its 19th straight win of the season, Wheaton advances to the national quarterfinal round and will meet The College of New Jersey on Saturday, November 22 at a site and time that has yet to be determined. Montigny, Harmeling Boot 14th-Ranked Women's Soccer Into NCAA Regional Championship Game as Jeffs Edge Endicott 2-1 in OT
November 15 - With a game-tying second-half goal by Tracy Montigny and an overtime tally by NESCAC Player of the Year Ashley Harmeling, the 14th-ranked Amherst women's soccer team advanced to the NCAA regional championship game for the second time in the last three years with a 2-1 win over Endicott College on Saturday. The Jeffs will play host Wheaton College - 7-0 winners over UMaine-Farmington in Saturday's other regional semifinal - Sunday at 1 p.m. with a trip to the national quarterfinals at stake. Full Story

Harmeling Named NESCAC Player of the Year, First-Team All-NESCAC
November 14 - Amherst junior forward Ashley Harmeling was named the NESCAC Women's Soccer Player of the Year and First-Team All-NESCAC on Friday after leading the 14th-ranked Jeffs to the 2003 NESCAC Championship and their seventh trip to the NCAA Tournament. Amherst advanced to the NCAA regional semifinals with a 1-0 first-round win over visiting Bridgewater State on Wednesday and resumes tournament play Saturday at 1:30 p.m. against Endicott College at regional host Wheaton. 14th-Ranked Jeffs Set for NCAA Regional Semifinals at Wheaton
November 13 - The 14th-ranked Amherst women’s soccer team is set to face Endicott College in the NCAA Regional Semifinals, hosted by Wheaton College Saturday at 1:30 p.m. The Jeffs (11-3-4) advanced with a narrow 1-0 win over visiting Bridgewater State College on Wednesday, while Endicott (18-2-2) defeated visiting Emmanuel College in similar fashion, 1-0. Host Wheaton College, ranked No.1 in the nation at 21-1, will face the University of Maine-Farmington (17-3-1) at 11 a.m. in the other regional semifinal, and the winners will meet for the NCAA Regional Championship Sunday at 1 p.m. Full Story

14th-Ranked Amherst Advances in NCAA Women's Soccer Tourney with 1-0 Win Over Bridgewater St.
November 12 - Sophomore midfielder Sarah Coleman scored the lone goal just over two minutes into the second half to give 14th-ranked Amherst a 1-0 win over visiting Bridgewater State in the first-round of the NCAA Women's Soccer Championship Tournament on Wednesday. The Jeffs will face Endicott College - which edged Emmanuel College 1-0 on Wednesday - in the NCAA Regional Semifinals Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at host Wheaton College. Full Story

Women's Soccer to host Bridgewater St. in NCAA First Round;
Harmeling Named NESCAC Player of the Week

November 10 - The Amherst women’s soccer team will host Bridgewater St. Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The Jeffs earned an automatic bid with a 6-0 blanking of Bates College in the NESCAC title game. Bridgewater St. (9-5-3) earned its automatic bid by defeating Salem State College on penalty kicks after a 0-0 double-overtime tie in the MASCAC Championship. Also, Amherst junior Ashley Harmeling was named the NESCAC Player of the Week after scoring four goals in the NESCAC Tournament, highlighted by a three-goal outburst in the championship game.
