Allison Shines at USILA North-South Senior All-Star Game

ROCHESTER, NY - Amherst College senior co-captain Mike Allison (W. Nyack, NY/Clarkstown South) was named the Most Valuable Player at the 63rd Annual United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division III North-South Senior All-Star Game Saturday afternoon at Nazareth College. Allison scored a goal, dished out three assists and won 13 of 23 face-offs in leading the North All-Stars to a hard-fought 18-14 victory.

Allison is a two-time All-NESCAC and All-New England selection, finishing 14th in the conference in goals (14) and third on the team in ground balls (48) as a senior. He also won a team-best 79 of 147 face-off attempts and assisted on the game-winning goal in the Jeffs’ dramatic 6-5 win over Bowdoin College in the NESCAC Tournament quarterfinals.

Amherst finished its season at 11-5 (6-3 NESCAC) and earned the No. 4 seed in the NESCAC Tournament, downing visiting Bowdoin before falling at top-seeded Middlebury College 7-2 in the semifinals.
