Sharaf Named GCAA/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar
June 8 - Amherst men’s golfer Justin Sharaf was named a 2004 Cleveland Golf Division III All-America Scholar by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) on Tuesday. Sharaf, a junior captain, was one of only three men’s golfers from the NESCAC to earn All-America Scholar honors, along with Hamilton College’s Brian Williams and Thomas Ferrero. Full Story
Sharaf Named PING/GCAA All-Northeast Region for Second Straight Year
May 11 - Amherst men’s golfer Justin Sharaf was named PING All-Northeast Region by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) for the second consecutive year on Tuesday. Sharaf, a junior captain, was one of only two players from the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) to earn All-Region honors, along with Williams College senior Brian Harmon. Jeffs Second to Williams at Little Three Championships
April 28 - The Amherst men’s golf team placed second at the Little Three Championships, held in Amherst on Wednesday. Williams College took home its sixth consecutive title, edging the Jeffs by just a point. Amherst sophomore Keith Zalaski led the Jeffs winning both his singles matches and teaming with first-year Andrew Bruns for a pair of alternate-shot match victories as well. Full Story
Red-Hot Sharaf Paces Jeffs at District Shootout
April 25 - Behind a ninth-place individual showing by junior captain Justin Sharaf, the Amherst men’s golf team posted a seventh-place team finish at the District 1 Shootout, hosted by Williams College at the Taconic Golf Club over the weekend. Sharaf, who claimed individual medallist honors for the first time in his collegiate career last week at the Skidmore College Palamountain Invitational, shot a two-day total of 77-78-155 at Williams, 13 strokes behind St. Lawrence University’s Kyle Rank. Jeffs Ninth at Williams Challenge, Seventh at Palamountain Invitational
April 19 - The Amherst men’s golf team tied Middlebury College for ninth at the Williams Spring Challenge, hosted by Williams College at the Taconic Golf Club last Saturday, and placed seventh at the Palamountain Invitational, hosted by Skidmore College at the McGregor Links Country Club on Sunday and Monday. Amherst junior captain Justin Sharaf led the way, earning medallist honors at the Palamountain Invitational with a two-day total of 73-76-149, and finishing tied for 13th at Williams with a round of 79. Jeffs Open Spring Season With 14th-Place Finish at Lou Flumere Invitational
April 8 - The Amherst men’s golf team opened its spring season with a 14th-place finish at the 31st annual Lou Flumere Invitational, hosted by Bentley College at the Stow Acres Country Club on Thursday. First-year Sean Jules led the Jeffs with a round of 80, good for 21st place overall. Full Story
Jeffs Sixth at Toski Invitational
October 28 - The Amherst men’s golf team wrapped up its fall slate with a sixth-place finish at the Toski Invitational, held at the Hickory Ridge Country Club in Amherst, MA on Monday. Junior captain Justin Sharaf and sophomore David Litt shot matching rounds of 76, good for sixth place. Full Story

October 22 - The Amherst men’s golf team finished 10th at the New England Intercollegiate Golf Association Championships, held at the Captains Golf Course in Brewster, MA on Monday and Tuesday. Junior captain Justin Sharaf led the Jeffs with a team-best 76-81-157, good for 22nd place. Full Story

October 9 - The Amherst men’s golf team tied for second at the WNEC Invitational, hosted by Western New England College at the Veterans Golf Course on Thursday. First-year Sean Jules and junior captain Justin Sharaf led the Jeffs, finishing third and eighth, respectively. Full Story

September 29 - The Amherst men’s golf team finished second at the NESCAC Championship Tournament, hosted by NESCAC archrival Williams College at the Taconic Golf Course on Saturday. First-year Sean Jules and junior Mike Valentine led the Jeffs, finishing third and fifth, respectively, and claiming First-Team All-NESCAC honors. Full Story

September 22 - The Amherst College men’s golf team finished 11th at the Williams Invitational, hosted by NESCAC archrival Williams College at the Taconic Golf Course on Saturday and Sunday. Junior captain Justin Sharaf and first-year Sean Jules fired identical two-day scores of 79-78-157 and finished tied for 22nd place to lead the Jeffs. Full Story
Jeffs Eighth at Season-Opening Duke Nelson Invitational
September 15 - The Amherst men’s golf team opened its fall slate with an eighth-place showing at the Duke Nelson Invitational, hosted by NESCAC rival Middlebury College at the Ralph Myhre Golf Course on Saturday and Sunday. Sophomore David Litt fired a two-day score of 73-80-153 and finished tied for ninth overall to pace the Jeffs. Full Story
Sharaf, Young Jeffs Take Swing at NESCAC
