Jeffs Second to Williams at Little Three Championships

April 28, 2004

AMHERST, MA - The Amherst College men’s golf team placed second at the Little Three Championships, held in Amherst on Wednesday. Williams College took home its sixth consecutive title, edging the Jeffs by just a point. Amherst sophomore Keith Zalaski (Simsbury, CT) led the Jeffs winning both his singles matches and teaming with first-year Andrew Bruns (Eaton, OH) for a pair of alternate-shot match victories as well.

The Jeffs nearly swept the Cardinals, winning all four alternate-shot matches and winning seven of the eight singles tilts. Sophomore David Litt (Bethesda, MD) and junior captain Justin Sharaf (Danvers, MA) each posted singles wins against Williams, while Bruns and fellow rookie Drew Russ (Maui, HI) halved their respective matches against the Ephs.
