Jeffs Open Spring Season With 14th-Place Finish at Lou Flumere Invitational

STOW, MA - The Amherst College men’s golf team opened its spring season with a 14th-place finish at the 31st annual Lou Flumere Invitational, hosted by Bentley College at the Stow Acres Country Club on Thursday. First-year Sean Jules (Chiacgo, IL) led the Jeffs with a round of 80, good for 21st place overall.

The Jeffs shot a team score of 338 as captain Justin Sharaf (Danvers, MA) tied for 45th with a round of 83 and sophomore Keith Zalaski (Simsbury, CT) posted an 87, good for 64th. Fellow sophomore David Litt (Bethesda, MD) and first-year Andrew Bruns (Eaton, OH) capped the Jeffs’ scoring with rounds of 88 and 91, respectively.

UMass Dartmouth claimed the overall team title with a score of 304, and Adam D’Amario from Western New England College took the individual crown with a round of 74.

Amherst returns to action Saturday, April 17, at the Williams Opener, hosted by Little Three archrival Williams College.
