Jeffs Edged at Wesleyan, 5-2
February 1 - After skating to a 3-3 tie Friday night, the women's hockey team fell at NESCAC and Little Three rival Wesleyan University, 5-2, Saturday. Sophomore forward Anna Siliciano notched a hat trick to lead the Cardinals, while senior forward Danielle Williams tallied a goal and an assist for the Jeffs. Full Story

Jeffs Skate to 3-3 Tie at Trinity
January 31 - The women's hockey team skated to a 3-3 tie at NESCAC foe Trinity College Friday night. Senior forward Danielle Williams paced the Jeffs with a goal and an assist. With the tie, the Jeffs move to 1-11-4 overall and 1-8-3 in conference play. Full Story

Jeffs Fall at Holy Cross Despite White's Two Goals
January 29 - Holy Cross snapped a three-game losing streak with a 5-2 win over the visiting Amherst women's hockey team on Wednesday night. Junior forward Ali White (Brookline, MA) scored both goals for the Lord Jeffs. The first gave Amherst an early 1-0 lead, while the second knotted the score at 2-2. Full Story

Jeffs Drop Fourth Straight with 6-2 Setback at Williams
January 26 - After falling to fourth-ranked Middlebury College on Saturday, the Amherst women’s hockey team was upended at NESCAC and Little Three rival Williams College, 6-2, on Sunday. Junior forward Molly Wasserman paced the Ephs with three points while senior co-captain Danielle Williams notched a goal and dished out an assist for the Jeffs. Full Story

Jeffs Downed at Fourth-Ranked Middlebury, 8-1
January 25 - The women’s hockey team fell to 1-9-3 overall and 1-7-2 in conference play with an 8-1 loss at fourth-ranked Middlebury College (10-1-1/9-0-1) on Saturday. Senior forward Angela Kapus led the Panthers with four points while junior forward Elissa Landes notched the lone goal for the Jeffs. Full Story

Jeffs Fall at Hamilton, 8-2
January 21 - The Amherst women’s hockey team fell at NESCAC foe Hamilton College, 8-2, Tuesday night. Rookie forward Zoe Baldwin paced the Continentals with a hat trick and a pair of assists, while first-year forward Jess Matthews notched two goals to lead the Jeffs. Full Story

Jeffs Drop Heartbreaker to Trinity, 3-2, in Overtime
January 18 - After notching its first victory of the season against Wesleyan University on Friday, the women's hockey team suffered a heartbreaking 3-2 overtime loss to visiting NESCAC foe Trinity College Saturday afternoon at Orr Rink. Bantam sophomore forward Kristy Hadeka stuffed home a rebound 3:16 into the extra session to propel the visitors to the win. Full Story

Jeffs Pierce Win Column With 2-1 Victory Over Wesleyan
January 17 - First-year forward Leah Kaplan knocked a rebound into the back of the net with less than three minutes remaining in regulation, giving the women's hockey team its first victory of the season, a 2-1 decision over visiting NESCAC and Little Three rival Wesleyan University, Friday night at Orr Rink. Williams Leads Jeffs Past UMass Boston Club Squad, 8-6
January 15 - Senior co-captain forward Danielle Williams tallied four goals and six points on Wednesday night to lead the Amherst women's ice hockey team to an 8-6 exhibition win at UMass Boston. Fellow senior co-captain Heidi Alexander posted 23 saves in goal en route to the win. Full Story

Jeffs Cap Minnesota Trip with 6-0 Loss at Augsburg
January 10 - Lauren Chezick netted her first career hat trick and had a five-point night, while Annie Annunziato had a four-point night with two goals and two assists, as Augsburg College breezed to a 6-0 win over Amherst College in a non-conference women's hockey game Friday night at the Augsburg Ice Arena. Women's Hockey Blanked at St. Thomas, 5-0
January 8 - The Amherst women's hockey team followed a Tuesday afternoon tie at Hamline University with a 5-0 loss at the University of St. Thomas on Wednesday. The team will remain in Minnesota through Friday for a 5:05 p.m. tilt at Augsburg College in Minneapolis. Full Story

January 7 - After a 31-day break, the women's hockey team skated to a 1-1 tie at non-conference foe Hamline University on Tuesday afternoon. First-year forward Leah Kaplan notched the lone goal for the Jeffs. Full Story

Jeffs Shut Out at Second-Ranked Bowdoin, 8-0
December 7 - The women's hockey team dropped to 0-4-2 overall and 0-4-2 in conference play following an 8-0 loss at second-ranked Bowdoin College Saturday afternoon. With the victory, the Polar Bears improve to 5-0-1 and 4-0. Full Story

Jeffs Stumble at Colby, 5-3
December 6 - After skating to a pair of ties against Connecticut College, the women's hockey team fell 5-3 at NESCAC foe Colby College on Friday night. Sophomore forward Michele Barmash led the hosts with a pair of goals and two assists while senior forward Danielle Williams netted a pair for the Jeffs. Full Story

Jeffs Tie Conn. College, Again
December 1 - After skating to a 2-2 tie on Saturday, Amherst and Connecticut College turned the trick again on Sunday, skating to a 3-3 draw in a NESCAC women’s ice hockey matchup in New London, CT. First-year forward Renee Sisti notched the first and second goals of her career for Amherst (0-2-2/0-2-2), while fellow rookie Kate Reardon tallied a hat trick and netted the game-tying goal with 1:44 left in regulation for Conn. (0-0-3/0-0-3). Full Story

Jeffs Play to 2-2 Tie at Conn. College
November 30 - Senior co-captain goaltender Heidi Alexander stopped 42 shots, including six in overtime, to lead the Amherst women’s hockey team to a 2-2 draw at NESCAC rival Connecticut College on Saturday afternoon. First-year netminder Gabby Petrill made 48 stops of her own in 65 minutes of work for the host Camels. Full Story

Jeffs Fall to Fifth-Ranked Middlebury, 9-1
November 23 - After falling to archrival Williams College last night, the women's hockey team fell to visiting NESCAC foe Middlebury College, 9-1, Saturday afternoon at Orr Rink. Things looked great for the Jeffs early on, taking a 1-0 lead into the locker room at the end of the opening period, but the Panthers countered with five scoring strikes in the second and four in the third on their way to their second straight victory. Jeffs Drop Season-Opener to Williams, 4-1
November 22 - The women's hockey team dropped its season-opener to visiting NESCAC and Little Three rival Williams College, 4-1, Friday night at Orr Rink. First-year defender Taylor Tyson paced the Ephs with two goals while sophomore forward Gigi Stender also dished out a pair of assists. Full Story

Women's Hockey Eyes Return to Postseason
November 15 - The women's ice hockey team made its mark in 2001-02, earning a postseason playoff berth for the first time in school history. The Jeffs lose only one player to graduation, and senior co-captains Heidi Alexander and Danielle Williams lead an experienced crew into the second season of formal NESCAC play. Full Preview
