Seventh-Seeded Amherst Ends Season with 9-0 Loss at Second-Seeded Middlebury in NESCAC Tournament Quarterfinals
March 1 - The seventh-seeded Amherst women’s hockey team ended its season with a 9-0 loss at second-seeded Middlebury College in the first round of the NESCAC Championship Tournament on Saturday. Panther junior forward Jean Butler led the way, netting a pair of goals while classmate Kristin Reid dished out three assists. Full Story

Jeffs Earn Second Straight NESCAC Tournament Berth
February 25 - The Amherst women’s ice hockey team finished its regular season at 3-16-4 overall and 2-11-3 in conference play to earn a second consecutive trip to the NESCAC Postseason Championship Tournament. The Jeffs, who were tied with Connecticut College but awarded the seventh and final seed using a predetermined conference tiebreaker system, open tournament play Saturday at 3 p.m. at second-seeded Middlebury College, which enters postseason play as the No. 4 team in the nation at 16-2-4 (12-0-4 NESCAC). Jeffs Drop Regular-Season Finale to Hamilton, 5-2
February 22 - The Amherst women's hockey team dropped its regular-season finale to visiting conference foe Hamilton College, 5-2, Saturday night at Orr Rink. Despite the loss, the Jeffs claimed the seventh and final spot in the upcoming NESCAC Tournament and will face second-seeded Middlebury College on Saturday. It also marked the final home contest for co-captain seniors Danielle Williams and Heidi Alexander. Full Story

Jeffs Down Holy Cross, 3-1
February 19 - The women's hockey team downed visiting non-league foe Holy Cross, 3-1, Wednesday night at Orr Rink. Senior co-captain Danielle Williams notched a goal and dished out an assist to lead the Jeffs. Full Story

Jeffs Keep Playoff Hopes Alive With 2-0 Win Over Colby
February 15 - Forced to play with just three defenders after losing junior Amanda Muller for the season with a torn knee ligament, a depleted Amherst women's hockey team kept its playoff hopes alive with a 2-0 victory over visiting league foe Colby College on Saturday. Junior forward Ali White and rookie defender Bethany Croy notched goals for the Jeffs, while senior netminder Heidi Alexander finished with 27 saves to earn the shutout. Full Story

Jeffs Fall to Second-Ranked Bowdoin, 3-0
February 14 - The women's hockey team fell to second-ranked NESCAC foe Bowdoin College, 3-0, Friday night at Orr Rink. Senior defender Beth Muir paced the Polar Bears with a goal and an assist, while junior forward Britney Carr dished out a pair of assists. Full Story

Jeffs Fall to New England, 1-0
February 12 - Despite outshooting its opponent by a whopping 62-20 margin, the women's hockey team fell to visiting non-conference foe New England College, 1-0, Wednesday night at Orr Rink. Pilgrim first year forward Marissa Porri notched the lone goal, while classmate goalie Christina Aiello was stellar in net, finishing with 62 saves to earn the shutout. Full Story

Jeffs Fall to Sixth-Ranked Plattsburgh, 10-2
February 8 - Despite a 27-save performance by senior netminder Heidi Alexander, the women's hockey team fell to visiting non-league foe Plattsburgh State, 10-2, Saturday night at Orr Rink. With the loss, the Jeffs drop to 1-13-4 overall while the sixth-ranked Cardinals improve to 12-3. Full Story
