2002-03 Amherst Women's Golf Milestones

TEAM ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Participated in nine tournaments, highlighted by a third-place finish at the Northeast Championships, hosted by Amherst at the nearby Hickory Ridge Country Club.
Other highlights included a first-place finish at the Williams College Lady Eph Fall Invitational (10/6), a first-place finish at the Wellesley College Fall Invitational (10-12) and a second-place finish at the Mass. State Invitational (4/25).
Ranked eighth in the final NCGA Division III Coaches Poll.

INDIVIDUAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Head Coach Michelle Morgan

National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) Division III Region I Coach of the Year.
NGCA Division III Co-National Coach of the Year.

Senior Co-Captain Katie Gravel (New Hampton, NY)

NESCAC Spring All-Academic.
Fired a tournament-low 79 to take individual medallist honors and lead Amherst to a second-place finish at the Mass. State Invitational.
Was the Jeffs’ top finisher in eight of their 10 outings, and paced Amherst in all five of their spring tournaments.

Sophomore Emily Foran (Dallas, PA)

Fired a 77 and prevailed in a three-way playoff to win the 2002 Lady Eph Fall Invitational, hosted by Williams College.
