2003 Amherst Men's Lacrosse Milestones


  • Finished with a 10-5 overall record, 6-3 in conference play.
  • Earned the fourth seed and a first-round home game in the NESCAC Postseason Championship Tournament, where they edged Williams 12-9 in the first round before falling to Middlebury 14-8 in the semifinals.
  • Third in the NESCAC in scoring defense (8.10 GAA) and fourth in scoring offense (10.82 GPG).

  • Fifth in the NESCAC in goals per game (2.33) and 17th in points per game (2.47).
  • Second-Team All-NESCAC.

  • Junior Attackman Mike Allison (W. Nyack, NY)
  • Fourteenth in the NESCAC in goals per game (1.73) and 20th in points per game (2.13).
  • Honorable Mention NEILA All-Star.
  • First-Team All-NESCAC.
  • Named NESCAC Player of the Week for the period ending April 20 after combining for seven goals and an assist in conference wins over Tufts and Bowdoin.

  • Sophomore Midfielder Andrew Syfu (Hobart, IN)
  • Twelfth in the NESCAC in assists per game (1.13).

  • Sophomore Attackman Alex Casertano (Millbrook, NY)
  • Tenth in the NESCAC in assists per game (1.21) and 19th in points per game (2.36).

  • Sophomore defenseman Greg Donohue (Bow, NH)
  • Second-Team NEILA All-Star.
  • Second-Team All-NESCAC.

  • Sophomore goaltender Cushing Donelan (Noroton, CT)
  • Third in the NESCAC in goals against average (8.11) and sixth in save percentage (.597).

  • First-Year Attackman Kevin Boova (Summit, NJ)
  • Seventh in the NESCAC in assists per game (1.33).

  • First-Year Midfielder Andrew Wilcox (Ancramdale, NY)
  • Second-Team ECAC New England All-Star.
