Condlin Scores Game-Winner as Jeffs Edge Bowdoin in OT
April 19 - With time winding down in the first sudden-death overtime, senior attackman Chris Condlin took a lob pass from sophomore Graham Lake, spun and fired a right-handed bounce shot into the bottom right corner of the cage to give the Amherst College menís lacrosse team a dramatic 11-10 victory over visiting NESCAC rival Bowdoin College on Saturday. Jeffs Rebound with 15-13 Win Over Tufts
April 16 - After dropping a pair of conference games by a total of three goals over the weekend, the Amherst menís lacrosse team bounced back with a clutch 15-13 win over visiting NESCAC foe Tufts University on Wednesday. The victory moves Amherst (7-3/4-2 NESCAC) into a tie with Wesleyan University for third place in the conference standings, while Tufts (6-3/3-2 NESCAC) drops to fifth place with the loss. 19th-Ranked Jeffs Fall to Fourth-Ranked Middlebury, 8-6
April 13 - After dropping a heartbreaker to Wesleyan University yesterday, the 19th-ranked Amherst men's lacrosse team fell to visiting NESCAC foe Middlebury College, 8-6, Sunday at Hitchcock Field. Junior attackman Mike Allison paced the Jeffs with a pair of goals and an assist. Full Story

19th-Ranked Jeffs Drop Heartbreaker to Wesleyan, 11-10
April 12 - The 19th-ranked Amherst men's lacrosse team dropped an 11-10 overtime decision to NESCAC and Little Three rival Wesleyan University Saturday afternoon at Garber Field. With the loss, the Jeffs fall to 6-2 overall and 3-1 in league play, while the Cardinals improve to 7-3. Full Story

19th-Ranked Men's Lacrosse Pummells Endicott, 15-6
April 8 - Ranked 19th in the nation and second in New England, the Amherst menís lacrosse team improved to 6-1 with a lopsided 15-6 non-league victory over Endicott College on Tuesday. The game was originally scheduled for Amherstís Hitchcock Field but moved to an alternate site, Keene State College, due to inclement weather. With four goals on Tuesday, senior attackman Chris Condlin, the NESCACís leading goal scorer, upped his season total to 22 scoring strikes. Full Story

Jeffs Down Western New England, 10-6
April 1 - Senior attackman Chris Condlin netted four goals and had an assist to guide the Amherst men's lacrosse team to a 10-6 victory over non-league foe Western New England College at Golden Bear Stadium on a snowy Tuesday afternoon. Jeff rookie attackman Kevin Boova also chipped in with four assists. Full Story

Jeffs Edge Colby, 11-9
March 29 - The Amherst men's lacrosse team jumped out to a 9-3 halftime lead and held on to edge 20th-ranked league-foe Colby College, 11-9, Saturday afternoon at Seaverns Field. Senior attackman Chris Condlin and classmate midfielder Matt Margolis each netted a trio of goals to lead the Jeffs. Full Story

Jeffs Wrap Up Florida Trip with 15-9 Conference Win Over Trinity
March 20 - The Amherst menís lacrosse team improved to 2-0 in conference play (3-1 overall) with Thursdayís 15-9 win over NESCAC rival Trinity College in Port Richey, Florida. The Jeffs used a balanced offensive attack with 11 different players cracking the scoring column, led by senior tri-captain Matt Margolisí three goals and two assists. Full Story

Men's Lacrosse Bombs Keene State, 15-4
March 19 - Behind four goals from senior co-captain Chris Condlin and three goals and two assists from sophomore sharpshooter Alex Casertano, the Amherst men's lacrosse team improved to 2-1 with Tuesday night's lopsided 15-4 win over Keene State College in Port Richey, Florida. Sophomore goalie Cushing Donelan added 12 saves in the win. Full Story

March 17 - In a game that started on Sunday but finished on Monday due to a lightning storm, the Amherst menís lacrosse team fell to Clarkson University 6-4 in Port Richey, Florida, evening their record at 1-1. Senior tri-captain midfielder Matt Margolis tallied a goal and an assist in the loss. Full Story

Jeffs Open Season With 18-3 Rout Over Bates
March 12 - The men's lacrosse team opened its season with an 18-3 rout over Bates College in a NESCAC matchup on Wednesday afternoon. Senior attackman Chris Condlin paced the Jeffs with five goals, while sophomore midfielder Andrew Syfu netted a goal and dished out three assists. Full Story

Jeffs Ranked Second Regionally, Poised for Another Postseason Run
March 7 - After posting a 5-8 record in 2001, the Amherst menís lacrosse team continued to move in a strong and positive direction in 2002, improving to 9-7 overall despite a trio of one-goal losses to Bowdoin College, Wesleyan University and Union College. Ranked second in the region in the preseason (ahead of perennial powers Bowdoin and Colby College), this yearís squad is among the leagueís most balanced. Head coach Tom Carmean enters his third season at the helm of the program and has assembled a group that returns a hefty crop of starters looking to capture the NESCAC title. Full Story
