Jeffs Fifth at WNEC Invitational

SPRINGFIELD, MA - The Amherst College men's golf team finished fifth at the Western New England College Invitational on Thursday behind the standout play of sophomore Justin Sharaf (Danvers, MA) and senior co-caption Todd Ballaban (Thousand Oaks, CA), who tied for 18th place with matching scores of 80. The Jeffs finished with a team total of 326. Salem State College took home the title with a combined score of 300.

Amherst senior co-captain Jude Volek (New York, NY) and first-year Keith Zalaski (Simsbury, CT) each shot an 83 to grab a tie for 26th place, while first-year David Litt (Bethesda, MD) was close behind shooting 88 for the day.

The Jeffs will wrap up their fall slate with the New England Championships on Monday and Tuesday, October 21-22.
