Men's Golf 15th at Rain-Shortened Williams Invitational

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA – The Amherst College men's golf team fell victim to heavy rains and tough competition over the weekend at the Williams College Invitational, drawing a 15th-place overall finish. Emory University paced the strong field, taking home the title in an event shortened due to inclement weather. Host Williams College finished in fourth place.
Amherst senior co-captain Todd Ballaban (Thousand Oaks, CA) led the way for the Jeffs, shooting 36-39-75 for a 28th-place individual finish. Senior co-captain Jude Volek (New York, NY) followed with a 39th-place, 37-39-76 showing, and sophomore Justin Sharaf (Danvers, MA) reeled in a 47th-place mark with a 37-40-77 weekend. Senior Steve Collins (Beverly Hills, MI) and first-year Keith Zalaski (Simsbury, CT) pulled in 89th-place nods, shooting 41-40-81 and 42-39-81, respectively.
The squad returns to action this Saturday and Sunday for the NESCAC Tournament, hosted by Middlebury College.
