BRUNSWICK, ME - The Amherst College men's basketball team jumped out to an 8-0 lead and never looked back, steamrolling Bowdoin College 86-56 on Saturday in Brunswick. The Lord Jeffs, ranked 12th in the latest national poll, improve to 12-2 overall and 2-0 in conference play, while Bowdoin drops their sixth straight contest and falls to 5-8 (0-2 NESCAC).

The Jeffs took an early 11-4 lead thanks to a trio of three-pointers by John Donovan in the first four minutes of the game. Amherst hit on 62% of their attempts in the first half and would enter intermission with their largest advantage of the period, 22 points, at 46-24.
