2002 Amherst Women's Lacrosse Milestones

TEAM ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
*Finished with a 14-3 overall record.
*With a 7-1 conference record, earned the No. 2 seed in the NESCAC Postseason Championship Tournament, where they downed Trinity and Williams Colleges before falling to eventual national champion Middlebury College, 13-7, in the title game.
*Received an at-large bid to their fourth NCAA Tournament and hosted one of four four-team regionals.
*With regional wins over Colorado College and Union, advanced to the NCAA Final Four for the second consecutive year and the third time in school history, where they fell to the College of New Jersey in the national semifinals, 10-7.
*Finished as the No. 3 ranked team in the nation behind Middlebury and TCNJ according to the final IWLCA Division III poll.

INDIVIDUAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
Head Coach Christine Paradis
*Just two wins shy of 100 for her career with a 98-28 overall record in eight seasons.

Senior Co-Captain Defender Cara Coscarelli (W. Hartford, CT)
*Second-Team IWLCA/U.S. Lacrosse Division III All-American.
*First-Team Brine/IWLCA Division III New England Regional All-American.
*First-Team ECAC Division III New England All-Star.
*First-Team All-NESCAC.
*NESCAC Spring All-Academic.
*2002 NCAA All-Tournament Team.

Senior Co-Captain Defender Carrie Foster (Warsaw, OH)
*First-Team Brine/IWLCA Division III New England Regional All-American.

Junior Goaltender Brooke Diamond (Longmeadow, MA)
*IWLCA Division III Goaltender of the Year.
*First-Team IWLCA/U.S. Lacrosse Division III All-American.
*First-Team Brine/IWLCA Division III New England Regional All-American.
*Second-Team All-NESCAC.
*2002 NCAA All-Tournament Team.
*Finished second in the NESCAC in goaltending with a 6.86 goals against average.
*Named ECAC New England Goaltender of the Week on Wednesday, May 8 after posting 24 saves in a pair of NESCAC tournament games against Williams and Middlebury.

Junior Attacker Abby Ouimet (Hatfield, MA)
*First-Team IWLCA/U.S. Lacrosse Division III All-American.
*First-Team Brine/IWLCA Division III New England Regional All-American.
*First-Team ECAC Division III New England All-Star.
*First-Team All-NESCAC.
*Led the NESCAC in scoring (87 points) and assists (46). Finished fifth in goals (41).
*Earned NESCAC Player of the Week Honors for the period ending April 21, tallying 19 points in a pair of wins over Bowdoin and Bates.
*Tied Kristin Osborn '01 as the college's all-time career assists leader with 81.
*Also shattered the single-season school record for assists with 46 the 24th best total in Division III history.

Sophomore Midfielder Liz Martin (Baltimore, MD)
*Second-Team IWLCA/U.S. Lacrosse Division III All-American.
*First-Team Brine/IWLCA Division III New England Regional All-American.
*First-Team ECAC Division III New England All-Star.
*First-Team All-NESCAC.
*Finished second in the NESCAC in goals (53) and seventh in scoring (61 points).
*Earned ECAC New England and NESCAC Player of the Week honors for the period ending April 14, tallying 16 goals in a trio of wins over Conn., Wellesley and Wesleyan.

Sophomore Midfielder Allison Aldrich (Cornwall, VT)
*Second-Team Brine/IWLCA Division III New England Regional All-American.
*Second-Team All-NESCAC.
