Amherst Women's Golf 17th at Yale Invitational

Sophomore Kathryn Kuchefsky led all Amherst golfers in the Yale Invitational with two rounds of 87

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA - The only Division III school at this weekend's Yale Invitational Golf Tournament, the Amherst College women's golf squad finished 17th out of 17 teams. Yale University won the tournament with a team score of 615, four ahead of Brown University, while Amherst's two-day total was 744 with rounds of 369 and 375.

Leading the way for the Jeffs was sophomore Kathryn Kuchefski (Wellesley, MA) who shot team-low rounds of 87 on both days. Meanwhile, first-year Sarah Godwin (Swarthmore, PA) tied with senior captain Jaime Ratner (Liberty, NY) with a total of 187, after both had rounds of 95 and 92. Rounding out the scoring for the Jeffs were juniors Kasarin Chakkaphak (New York, NY) and Jeannie Limpert (Bethesda, MD).

Next up, Amherst will split its squad to play in two tournaments - the NESCAC Tournament at Williams College, and the Mt. Holyoke Invitational. Following that, Amherst will travel to New Jersey for the Princeton Invitational, on October 7th and 8th.
