Sophomore center Caitlin Farrell: 10 points and 12 rebounds for Amherst
WORCESTER, MA - The Amherst College women's basketball team had a four-game winning streak snapped with a 69-58 loss at non-league foe Clark University on Saturday, despite a game-high 24 points on eight three-pointers by sophomore sharpshooter Shannon Russell (Shrewsbury, MA).

The host Cougars took the game over behind strong guard play from junior Rachel Turkington (Holland, MA), who drilled four three-pointers en route to a team-high 18 points. Senior backcourt-mate Tracy Fuller (New London, NH) added 17 points on 6-for-9 shooting, including a 3-for-4 showing from three-point range, as Clark improved to 6-2 with the win.

Besides Russell, sophomore center Caitlin Farrell (Lafayette, CA) was the only other Amherst player in double figures with 10 points, to go along with a team-high 12 rebounds.

Amherst (4-2) returns to action Monday at 7 p.m. at Coast Guard.
