No. 14 Jeffs Blanked by Visiting Dartmouth, 9-0
January 16 - The Amherst men's squash team - ranked 14th nationally according to the NISRA - fell to visiting sixth-ranked Dartmouth, 9-0, Wednesday at the Davenport Courts. The Jeffs fell to 3-2 with the loss, while Dartmouth improved to 4-1. First-year Gifford Sommerkamp, junior co-captain John Holodnak and senior John Brody were the only Amherst players to extend Dartmouth opponents to four games. Full Story

Men's Squash Edges Bates, 6-3, Falls to Cornell, 9-0
January 12 - The Amherst men's squash team snubbed Bates College 6-3 in its first performance of the new year, at Amherst's Davenport Squash Courts. The Jeffs also suffered a 0-9 loss to Cornell University later in the day, and moved to 3-1 on the season. Full Story

14th Ranked Men's Squash Dismantles Vassar, 9-0
December 5 - For the second time in as many days, the 14th ranked Amherst men's squash team pitched a shutout. After blanking host Tufts University in their season-opener on Tuesday, the Jeffs hosted Vassar College on Wednesday and whitewashed the Brewers, 9-0, dropping just one game in the process. Vik Lakhwara was the lone Vassar player to steal a game from the Jeffs, falling to top-seeded Amherst junior co-captain Carlo Valdesolo, 1-3 (9-3, 4-9, 6-9, 2-9). Full Story

14th Ranked Men's Squash Wins Season-Opener at Tufts
December 4 - Top-seeded Amherst College junior co-captain Carlo Valdesolo blanked Tufts University's Neil Pallaver, 3-0 (9-4, 9-5, 9-1), to lead the 14th ranked Jeffs past the 20th ranked Jumbos, 9-0, in their season-opener Tuesday evening in Medford, Mass. Full Story

14th Ranked Men's Squash Opens Tuesday at No. 20 Tufts
December 1 - Anchored by a trio of experienced juniors - Carlo Valdesolo, David Bauer and John Holodnak - the 14th ranked Amherst College men's squash team opens its season Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. at 20th ranked Tufts University. Amherst will play an uncommonly competitive slate, with matches scheduled against three-time defending champion Trinity, historically dominant Harvard and traditional rival Williams. Full Story
