Jeffs Drop Pair of Matches at NISRA Championships at Harvard

BOSTON, MA - Amherst College ended its season at 7-10 with a pair of losses to Hobart and Bowdoin Colleges at the NISRA Men's Squash Championships, hosted by Harvard University, February 22-24. Playing in the tournament's Hoehn Division (for teams ranked ninth through 16th), the Jeffs dropped Friday's first-round match against Bowdoin, 5-4, setting up a loser's bracket matchup against Hobart on Saturday, which the Jeffs also dropped, 5-4.

Denison University won the Hoehn Division crown with a 5-4 win over the University of Pennsylvania, while Trinity College downed Princeton University in the Potter Division final (for teams that entered the tournament ranked first through eighth nationally).

The Jeffs have one more tournament on their 2001-02 slate, the NISRA Individual Championships, hosted by Princeton University, March 1-3.
