No. 14 Men's Squash Falls at 11th-Ranked Brown, 8-1January 22, 2002
Aside from Sommerkamp, junior co-captain John Holodnak (Wellesley, MA) and sophomore Asad Haque (Richmond Hill, Ontario) were the only other Amherst players to extend their Brown opponents past three games. Holodnak fell to fourth-seeded Brown senior Rishal Sawhney (New Delhi, India), 3-1 (9-3, 9-1, 3-9, 9-7), while Haque lost to seventh-seeded first-year Jay Beidler (Chicago, (IL), 3-2 (8-10, 10-8, 6-9, 9-6, 9-7). Amherst returns to action on Wednesday for a pair of home matches against visiting M.I.T. and Trinity College.
