Jeffs Snap Three-Game Losing Skid with 11-10 Victory Over Trinity
April 10 - The Amherst men's lacrosse team snapped a three-game losing skid Wednesday afternoon, outlasting visiting NESCAC foe Trinity College, 11-10, at Hitchcock Field. Junior midfielder Matt Margolis paced the Jeffs with a trio of goals and an assist while sophomore middie Mike Allison and first-year attackman Alex Casertano each chipped in with a pair of goals and an assist. Jeffs Fall to Top-Ranked Middlebury, 20-10
April 6 - The Amherst men's lacrosse team fell at top-ranked NESCAC foe Middlebury College, 20-10, Saturday afternoon at Peter Kohn Field. Junior midfielder Matt Margolis paced the Jeffs with a trio of goals. First-years Alex Casertano and Joaquin Walker each chipped in with a pair of strikes. Full Story

Jeffs Drop Heartbreaker to Union, 10-9
April 4 - The Amherst men's lacrosse team was edged at visiting non-league foe Union College, 10-9, Thursday evening. The Dutchmen took an 8-5 lead into the final quarter as Amherst rallied with four strikes but came up just short. Senior attackman Harlow Voorhees led the Jeffs offensively with four goals and an assist. Full Story

Jeffs Edged by Colby in NESCAC Opener, 11-9
March 30 - The Amherst College men's lacrosse team was edged in their NESCAC opener by visiting Colby College, 11-9, Saturday afternoon at Hitchcock Field. Junior attackman Chris Condlin and first-year midfielder Colby Griffith paced the Jeffs offensively, each tallying a pair of goals and an assist. Full Story

Jeffs Down Visiting Wheaton, 18-4
March 28 - The Amherst men's lacrosse team downed visiting non-league foe Wheaton College, 18-4, in their home-opener Thursday afternoon at Hitchcock Field. The Jeffs, ranked eighth in New England, used a balanced offensive attack as 12 different players pierced the scoring column. Junior attackman Chris Condlin paced the hosts with four goals and a pair of assists, while first-year attackman Alex Casertano chipped in with a goal and five assists. Full Story

Men's Lacrosse Outlasts Hamilton, 11-10
March 22 - The Amherst men's lacrosse team took an 11-6 lead and held on for a narrow 11-10 non-league win over Hamilton College Friday night in Port Richey, Florida. The Jeffs, who improved to 2-1 with their second straight victory, placed eight different players in the scoring column, led by three-goal performances from senior quad-captain midfielder Gene Nogi and sophomore attackman Mike Allison. Jeffs Rebound with 18-2 Win Over Keene St.
March 20 - After suffering a 13-10 loss in their season-opener on Tuesday, the Amherst men's lacrosse team rebounded on Wednesday by crushing non-league foe Keene State College, 18-2, in Port Richey, Florida. The Jeffs (1-1) placed 12 different players in the scoring column and didn't allow a goal until midway through the second half. Full Story

Jeffs Open Season With Narrow Loss to Clarkson
March 19 - The Amherst men's lacrosse team ranked 10th in the latest NEILA Division III poll opened its 2002 season with a tough 13-10 loss to Clarkson University Tuesday night in Port Richey, Florida. Tied 5-5 at the half, Clarkson took a 10-8 lead in the third quarter and outscored the Jeffs 3-2 over the final 15 minutes to gain the victory in the season-opener for both teams. Senior midfielder Harlow Voorhees led Amherst with three goals in defeat. Full Story

Men's Lacrosse Eyes NESCAC's Upper Echelon
Febuary 21 - With a highly-improved offensive arsenal and a revamped defense, the 2002 Amherst College men's lacrosse team will look to seize the NESCAC title in what should turn out to be an extremely balanced and talented conference. Head coach Tom Carmean enters his second season on the sidelines hoping to move the Jeffs in a strong and positive direction with the hopes of becoming one of the top teams in the league. Full Story
