2001-02 Amherst Men's Hockey Milestones

*Finished with a 6-14-5 overall record, 6-9-4 in NESCAC play, qualifying for the seventh seed in the NESCAC Postseason Championship Tournament (where they were eliminated by Bowdoin College, 3-2, in the first-round).

Senior Co-Captain Forward Darren Reaume (West Seneca, NY)
*NESCAC Winter All-Academic.

First-Year Forward Beau Kretzman (Edina, MN)
*New England Hockey Writers ECAC East/NESCAC All-Star.
*NESCAC Rookie of the Year.
*Second-Team All-NESCAC.
*NESCAC Player of the Week and U.S. College Hockey Online Offensive Player of the week for the period ending February 10, after scoring four goals and adding a trio of assists in a pair of victories over NESCAC rivals Conn. College and Tufts University.
*Eclipsed a number of Amherst single-season scoring records, including the College's all-time marks for goals (25), assists (19) and points (44) by a freshman. He also fell just three goals shy of the Jeffs' overall single-season goal-scoring record of 28, set by Doug Smink during the 1992-93 season.
*Led the NESCAC in freshman scoring (44 points), tied for first in the NESCAC in shorthanded points (4) and shorthanded goals (3), second in the NESCAC in overall scoring (44 points), goals (25) and power play goals (8), tied for third in power play points (16), and tied for sixth in assists (19).
