Hersey Unstoppable!
Senior forward scores 25 in 67-48 thrashing of Trinity

AMHERST, Massachusetts -- Katie Hersey is on a mission. The senior forward hailing out of Westford, Massachusetts has been a one-woman wrecking crew for over a week and there doesn't seem to be an end to her demolition tour anytime soon. After a week that saw her average 25.3 points and 10 rebounds, including a 37-point explosion against Williams, Hersey hit the floor against the previously 8-1Trinity College squad last night and ripped apart the Bantam defense for another 25 point outing. To go along with her scoring binge, Hersey also pulled down a game and season high 15 rebounds (9 offensive, 6 defensive). She notched her second double-double in as many games, but more inportantly, spearheaded a rejuvinated Lord Jeff attack that proved to many that they are a team that NESCAC foes would be wise not to overlook. For her efforts last week, Hersey was named the NESCAC Player of the Week.

Hersey received strong support from fellow senior Crystal Campaigne (Harvard, MA). Campaigne scored 13 points, pulled down 9 rebounds and was clutch on the free-throw line, hitting 5-of-6 from the stripe. Speaking of free-throw expertise, Hersey was a perfect 9-of-9 from the line-- very fitting!
