Amherst Routs Hamilton
Four Jeffs score in double figures in big win

AMHERST, Massachusetts -- Four Lord Jeffs scored in double figures as Amherst routed the visiting Hamilton College Continentals today in LeFrak Gymnasium. Led by 16 points apiece from senior guard Janinne Noel (Dalton, MA) and sophomore forward Dierdre McCarthy (Oradell, NJ), Amherst improved their season record to 7-9 while the Continentals fall to 1-15.

Amherst led by only five points at the half, but came out and shot 58.6% from the field in the second and blew the game wide open. Senior Crystal Campaigne (Harvard, MA) and McCarthy combined to shoot 8-10 from the field in the second frame, scoring 19 of Amherst's 45 points in the half. The Continentals were led by Brenna Chiaputti (Bolton, CT) and Jen Moran (Leonia, NJ), who scored 19 and 18 points respectively.

The Jeffs square off against Little III rival Wesleyan University this Tuesday evening at 7:00 at Amherst.
