Losing Regional All-Americans Heather Kestner, Heidi Cline, and Jess Flynn, along with Liz Roth and defensive stopper Erika Johnson to graduation will mean the 1999 squad has some big shoes to fill. However, a core group of experienced players return to the line-up with high expectations. Senior captains Aimee Carroll, Jen Corso and Irene Permut will lead the team, along with returning attackers Rachel Bernstein, Katherine Haver, Kristin Osborn, Katherine Poulin, Sarah Scheessele and Alie Stechenberg. Defensively Permut and Carroll return with Kathleen Sanford, Alison Kitay, Caroline Bruce, Anita Nabha and Charlotte Taylor. In goal, Sarah Evans and Jess Thaxton return after both contributing to the 1998 campaign.

Amherst returns 8 starters from last year's
ECAC Championship team

A strong recruiting class comes in to join the 1999 squad and add depth and experience. With two ECAC Championships in their sticks, the Amherst women's lacrosse team will look to continue its tradition of excellence and success in the season ahead.
