AMHERST, Massachusetts -- Pat Mulvey (Rye, NH), a sophomore guard for the Amherst College men's basketball team, was named to the ECAC/Amerisuites New England Honor Roll for his performance in games through Saturday, February 14, 1998. This is the second time Mulvey has been recognized by the ECAC this season.
Mulvey paced the Jeffs by averaging 25.5 points per game in a pair of wins. The guard kicked off the weekend with a career-high 28-point performance in an 83-67 victory over Colby College in which he knocked down five 3-pointers along with dishing out four assists. He followed up the next day against Bowdoin as his three 3's in the second half first sparked an Amherst come-from-behind toward an 88-83 overtime win. The starter also pulled down six rebounds in the winning effort as the Jeffs move to 16-2 for the season. Mulvey is the team's third leading scorer, averaging 13.7 ppg.
The Jeffs are next in action on Tuesday, February 17 at Brandeis for a 7:30pm tip-off.
