Amherst, Williams Advance to NCAA East Regional Championship

AMHERST, Massachusetts -- Amherst College (12-4) and Williams College (13-0) earned first round victories at Bay Road Country Club as the archrivals advance to the championship match of the NCAA East Regional Tournament. The match will begin at 12:00pm on the lower courts at Amherst College in good weather, at the Bay Road Country Club in case of rain.

Williams remained undefeated at 13-0 on the season with a 4-0 victory over Massachusetts Institute of Technology (12-6). Amherst claimed a 4-1 win over Swarthmore College (9-9) despite losing the doubles point as the Jeffs rallied to sweep the top four singles flights. The winner of tomorrow's match will advance into the Final Four, to be played at Williams College on Saturday, May 16.
