Bowdoin Comes From Behind to Defeat Amherst, 7-5

Bowdoin scored four goals in the third period to overcome a 4-3 deficit and defeat Amherst, 7-5. Kevin Zifcak had two goals for the Polar Bears, including the equalizer at five goals a piece with 6:45 to play.

Bowdoin had a 1-0 lead after the first period before Amherst scored four in the second. Charlie Blyth had a goal and two assists to lead Amherst, who falls to 12-5 on the season. The Bears snapped a seven-game Jeff win-streak and rise to 9-6.

Amherst plays again at Orr Rink tomorrow against Colby at 4:00 pm, while Bowdoin travels to northern Massachusetts to face North Adams State.
