Mike Noone scored 4:27 into overtime to give Amherst a 3-2 win over Connecticut College. David Getschow had tied the game for the Camels with under 3 to play in the third period to push the game into overtime.
Amherst came out strong on offense in extra time, forcing Camel goalie Ajay Kasargod to make four saves. But after an Amherst timeout, the Jeffs passed around the blue-line before Noone scored his fourth goal of the season.
This is the second meeting of the two teams this season, with both games ending in overtime decisions. In December, Connecticut College prevailed 6-5 in overtime. The Jeffs better their record to 7-4, while the Camels fall to 2-6. This is the first weekend that the Lord Jeffs have won both of their games.
