AMHERST, Massachusetts -- Adam Wolf (Roslyn Heights, NY) won the NESCAC Championship at No. 6 singles in men's tennis to finish the spring with a perfect 18-0 match record. The junior was pushed to three sets only four times this year and handily won three matches this past weekend at NESCACS. As the No. 1 seed, Wolf began with a 46-minute, 6-0, 6-0 rout of Josh Turknett of Wesleyan before disposing of Jeff Gilberg (Bowdoin) 6-2, 6-3 in the semifinals and Matt Sizemore (Connecticut College) 6-4, 7-6 for the title.
As a team, Amherst placed second at the NESCAC Men's Tennis Championship. The Jeffs appeared in the finals of all six singles flights and two of three doubles finals, though Wolf won the lone Amherst title. The Jeffs had finished the spring with a 12-3 record.
Last fall, Wolf helped Amherst win the ECAC Championship for Amherst as one of two singles champions.
