Amherst Rallies for 2-1 Win over UMass-Dartmouth

AMHERST, Massachusetts -- Andy Kay (North Easton, MA) slotted a feed from Matt Diggs (Seattle, WA) for the game-winner against UMass-Dartmouth with 10:30 left on the game clock. Game one of three of the Amherst Invitational marked the return of Head Coach Peter Gooding to his former team. The Jeffs had opened up scoring in the 27th minute on a Tim Christian (Agawam, MA) header, but the Corsairs equalized with 19 seconds left in the first half with a flick by Tori Terrassi (South Easton, MA). Amherst outshot UMass-Dartmouth 12-5.

The Jeffs play again tomorrow in the finale of the Invitational. They will face St. Thomas of St. Paul, Minnesota, who is currently battling Western New England College.
