Jack Arena: Men's Ice Hockey Coach
Jack will be entering his 17th year as the Head Coach of the Jeffs’ hockey team. During his tenure, the team has produced the nine winningest seasons in college history and has been selected to the ECAC Tournament eight times. The 1992 and 1996 teams captured the ECAC Championship for only the second and third times in the school’s history, and last year’s team made Amherst’s first-ever NCAA appearance. At the conclusion of the 1995-96 season, Arena was awarded both the ECAC East and New England Hockey Writers Coach of the Year honors.
Jack is also tied for fourth on the All-Time Scoring List and capped off his Amherst hockey career by being selected the Hoby Baker Award winner as the Most Outstanding Collegiate Player in the country
