  About the Rainbow Room
The Rainbow Room is Amherst College's LGBTQIA (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning/queer, intersex, and ally) resource center. It serves as the office for Amherst's Coordinator of LGBTQIA Student Services and Support, as well as for the student-run Pride Alliance. It also houses the LGBTQIA Resource Library full of books and movies.

Rainbow Room community teas are held once a week on Thursdays at 8:00pm. They are sponsored by the Pride Alliance. Come join us for a study break in the Rainbow Room!

The Rainbow Room also sponsors weekly LGBTQIA student/faculty/staff lunches, affectionately known as "glunch."

To learn more, visit the Rainbow Room's website.

  Location
The renovated Rainbow Room will open in the basement of Morrow Dormitory in Fall 2006. Former locations have been the basement of Pratt Dormitory and the basement of James Dormitory. Click here to find Morrow Dormitory (and thus the Rainbow Room) on the campus map.
