The mission of the Amherst College Pride Alliance is to promote understanding and foster discussion between the diverse sexual orientations found at the College. Providing support for those struggling with issues surrounding their sexual or gender identity is also a goal of the club. Lastly, the organization hopes to provide a safe space where all people can have fun learning about and celebrating their diverse identities.

Our goals for this year are to highlight the diversity within the queer community. We are trying to create space and place a spotlight on the racial and cultural diversity that is inherent in our community while highlighting the sexual minorities present within our community such as trangendered, intersex and cross-dressing individuals. We also want to showcase the rich literary and artistic contributions of queer people working today.
