It was loud, but eventually the saw cut clean through the hard drive.

The drive was split cleanly in half, and for the most part we assume the data to be securely destroyed. However, in the event that some secret government organization could piece the platters back together, we'll be keeping them seperate. Just like the core drill, we can't give it a completely perfect destruction score because of this potential flaw ;)
