Hard Drive Destruction
Death by Chipping Gun
Similar to a jack hammer, a chipping gun is used for light demolition work. It was one of the many tools our local construction crew used destroy our drives.

Results
The circuit board on the outside of the hard drive quickly split away from the case and was smashed into several pieces. The case itself was dented, but we have yet to open the drive to see if the platters are intact. Given the state of the case, we assume the platters are just fine. The construction worker had a hard time keeping the drive in place, so we assume if it was secured better it would have sufferred more damage.
