Welcome to La Casa!

 

La Casa is the Amherst College Latino Culture House. It houses students of all races who are interested in Latino/a Culture and in helping the Amherst Latino Community. Our members organize events for the campus to learn about and celebrate Latino cultures. Members are also involved in community service that helps the Latino Community in the Pioneer Valley.
To dispell some common misconceptions about the house:

-You do not need to be Latino/a to live in the house. In fact, diversity in the house is viewed as a very positive thing. Without it, learning cannot be possible.

-We are not a language based House. English is primarily spoken.
