Jessica Wolpaw Reyes is Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at Amherst College. She received her Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University, focusing her studies in the areas of labor economics, public finance, and health economics. She subsequently completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Aging and Health Economics at the National Bureau of Economic Research. Her current research focuses on public health and social impacts of environmental pollution, the structure of physicians' labor markets, the impact of college financial aid rules on savings, and other topics in applied microeconomics. Prof. Reyes is particularly interested in areas of health and inequality, and is currently investigating new projects in the effect of environmental toxins on social behavior.
