I've been working with clay as a hobby for over a decade now. I do both wheel work and handbuilding. Over the years I've worked with a variety of clay bodies, all in the cone 5 - cone 6 range. I mix most but not all of my own glazes and rarely have a firing without some kind of glaze test. I sell some of my pottery, currently just hanging planters at Hadley Garden Center.
There are a couple of trends that seem to run through my work. I like textures and I like randomness and I like precision.
