A lot of people have made the connection between our name and that of the ex-Speaker of the House, and that we are obviously a very Clever Political Commentary. "How Subtle," they say, "How Droll..."

Alternately, some of you who are Republicans may be a bit offended by such a vicious and mean-spirited attack. So we'd just like to say that The Hungry Newt has no political agenda beyond Coffee & Brownies For All. Conservatives too. As a matter of fact, Newt Gingrich always stops in when he comes through Western Massachusetts. As proof, one of his staff aids sent in that nice picture at the top of the page of Mr. Gingrich campaigning in New Hampshire while wearing his favorite Hungry Newt sweatshirt.
