Handling times (Mean, SE, s, inverse-transformed) of male and female E. jugularis
at straight artificial flowers (K = 0 inverse mm) measuring 35, 40, 45, and 50 mm in length,
with 10 microliters of nectar (M10 = solid circles, F10 = open circles). For both sexes,
handling times were significantly longer at 50 mm flowers than at shorter lengths (P = 0.05
overall, paired t-tests with Bonferroni adjustments). Handling times of males were
significantly shorter than handling times of females at 35 mm and 40 mm long flowers
(P = 0.05 overall, t-tests with Bonferroni adjustments). See Temeles et al. 2009 Ecology.
