WHAT'S NEW (last updated 1/29/10)

Winter 2010: Several new publications are on the horizon for former students Susan Lin '08 (Physiological and Biochemical Zoolog), Jonathan Perez (Proceedings of the Royal Society of London B), and Meredith McNitt (Fish Physiology and Biochemistry).

Fall/winter 2009-2010: We've added some new faces to the lab this year. Welcome to new students Chido Kativhu '10, Julio Mendoza '11 and Brigit High '12. And, of course, we continue to love our veteran students such as Heather Leonard '10, Tracy Montgomery '10, and Gabi Barmettler '10. And last, but not least, the incomparable Lexi Brown.

Fall 2009: Two papers authored by students in the lab have been published recently. One is by Erin Morrison '09, published in Journal of Avian Biology, on the genetic and environmental factors that affect innate immunity in nestling tree swallows. The other, by Elizabeth Kuperberg '07, which appeared in the journal Ethology, is on the role of hypoxia in influencing male display behavior and female mate choice in the fighting fish Betta splendens. Congratulations Erin and Elizabeth!
