The
Chicano Caucus is a politicaly active organization that deals with various,
but mainly, Chicano issues. For twelve years, the Caucus has raised awareness
of Chicano issues on the Amhest College and other Five College campuses. We
hold weekly meetings on Tuesdays at 9PM in the Jose Martí Room of the
Keefe Campus Center where we plan events, discuss issues, and just vent. Our
yearly events range from Mexican Cooking night to bringinging speakers such
as Dolores Huerta to attending rallies and fighting for immigrant rights. This
year, the Caucus will be hosting the East Coast Chicano Student Forum at Amherst.
