Thank you for your interest in Generation Klez. We have a deep commitment to the music we perform and want to share with you what makes our band unique.

We are a four-piece ensemble: violin, clarinet, guitar/mandolin and bass. This allows us to play Klezmer music in the traditional style, taking advantage of the remarkable blend created by natural acoustic instruments. In our attempt to develop an individual sound, we combine the spirit of authentic Klezmer music with a modern edge, reviving the style with a virtuosic clarity and youthful energy without compromising the roots from which it came.

As a group of professional performers, educators and scholars, we are enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the music we play. We have an extensive repertoire of Klezmer classics, Yiddish folksongs and Israeli melodies, and know how to create just the right mood for your occasion. We are available for a full range of simchas and special events, from weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, anniversaries and holidays to concerts and educational outreach programs.
