·  In the Constitution, only senators could join the Disciplinary Committee.

·  Rothschild looked at Constitution and made the necessary changes so that all students would be eligible for Disciplinary Committee elections.

·  Das motions to approve amendment.

·  Debate:

o  Cons:

§  A school-wide election for seats in the DC may encourage platforms that are too radical, but these platforms may easily win in these elections

§  People’s platforms will influence their decisions in the DC

§  Senators may be know who will be better qualified

§  A campus wide election would publicize the names of those elected to the DC, and people could take heat for their decisions

o  Pros:

§  This promotes direct democracy

§  There is nothing about being a Senator that makes people better qualified to serve on the DC

·  Das moves to question. Stein seconds.
