Black Students Union
Purpose
The Black Student Union serves as a resource mechanism to foster the social, political, cultural and intellectual development of Black students at Amherst College. Furthermore, the BSU seeks to engage all students that are dedicated to the above stated mission. In fufilling our objectives, we remain cognizant of and loyal to the seven principles of Kwanzaa. That is, to act in unity, self-determination, collective work and responsibility, co-operative economics, creativity, and faith in all that we do.
