Important Information for Fans Attending Saturday's Amherst-Williams Football Game

To help create a safe and enjoyable atmosphere at Saturday's Amherst-Williams football game, the administrations at Amherst and Williams ask all those who plan to attend the game to be aware of new policies at Williams' Weston Field.

As has long been the case with all other athletic events, fans now cannot bring alcohol into Weston Field. Fans may bring food, as well as soft drinks or water in sealed plastic bottles. An outside vendor will sell beer and wine to people age 21 and over, beginning an hour before the game until the end of the third quarter. Vendors will also sell food, soft drinks and water.

Fans cannot park buses or RVs on the field or anywhere else on campus. The number of other vehicles parked at Weston will be limited to 150, including 20 reserved for Williams students. The gates will open for all other vehicles at 9 a.m. on game days. Vehicles, bags, coolers and packs will be subject to search.

Remember:

No alcohol permitted onto Weston Field; vehicles, bags, coolers, etc. will be checked
Beer and wine will be sold on-site
No cans, glass containers or bottles are permitted
No open containers are permitted
Only sealed plastic containers will be permitted
No RVs, campers, UHauls.

Thanks for your cooperation. Enjoy the game!
