In Memoriam: Jane Davin

The Johnson Chapel flag has been lowered to half-staff in memory of Jane Davin, who died Friday, April 1.

Jane Davin was the wife of retired boiler plant supervisor James Davin.

Born June 15, 1937, in Liberty, N.Y., Jane Davin was the daughter of the late George and Anna (Tucker) Weyrauch. She graduated from Liberty High School and received an associate's degree in food administration from Delhi University in New York. She later moved to Florence and moved to Easthampton in 1976.

She drove school buses for Hampshire Regional School District and Northampton and Easthampton schools and also worked as an administrative dietitian for Cooley Dickinson Hospital and Holyoke Hospital.

Mrs. Davin was a communicant at Immaculate Conception Church in Easthampton. She and James Davin were married for 35 years.

In addition to her husband, her survivors include a son, Timothy Davin, of Hatfield; a daughter, Georgeanna Taylor, of Plainfield; a brother, Kenneth Weyrauch, of Florida; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
