Alumni sons and daughters
The Admission Office has scheduled three specially arranged Dean's
Days to allow the sons and daughters of Amherst alumni and their parents to learn
more about Amherst and its admission policies. Dean's Days include group
conversations for Amherst families with secondary school students who will be
seniors in 2002-03. There also will be tours of the campus, and a light lunch
will be served. Dean's Days have been scheduled for Friday, May 31, Friday,
July 12, and Friday, August 23, 2002. Pre-registration is required.
If you are not able to attend one of these occasions, you may arrange for a conversation
with a dean, which would entail meeting with a senior member of the Admission
staff to discuss not only Amherst and its admission policies, but would also allow
the staff member to learn a bit about the student's interests and aspirationsall
with an eye toward being as helpful as possible to the student who is going through
the college admission process.
To register for a Dean's Day and for additional details, call Flora Josephs
Chamlin at (413) 542-2328.
