Leadership Discussion Series
Leadership and supervision are often challenging experiences, and the current economic situation presents more complex issues that complicate any leader's role. This discussion series offers a chance to think about and discuss issues that leaders at Amherst may be facing and to interact with other leaders and hear what they are experiencing. The series is an opportunity to reflect on your own role and assess your current effectiveness. Each session will focus on a theme, and the discussions will offer a chance to hear from your peers about what they already are doing to be successful as well as to brainstorm new approaches and ideas to situations that you may encounter at work.

Supervising Student Workers
Student workers are an integral part of many college departments. Supervising student workers poses some unique challenges, as well as offering exciting educational opportunities to help students learn and practice skills that will assist them once they have completed college. This two-part training is intended for anyone who supervises students and provides practical ideas as well as an introduction to some fundamental aspects of effective supervision.
